Meet the new McLaren 765LT.
The new 765LT uses McLaren's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that makes 755 horsepower (563 kilowatts and 590 pound-feet (800 Newton-meters) of torque. The power runs through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox with tweaks that make shifts 15-percent faster compared to a 720S. McLaren claims the 765LT can hit 96 kilometers per hour in 2.7 seconds and 100 kph can be reached in 2.8 seconds.
The 765LT weighs 80 kilograms less than the 720s with the savings coming from components like advanced forms of carbon fiber, a titanium exhaust and thinner glass. The new longtail rides on Ultra-Lightweight 10-spoke forged alloy wheels, with titanium wheel bolts and bespoke Pirelli P Zero™ Trofeo R circuit-bred tires as standard. With all that power and lightweight components you need to be able to stop on a dime; the 765LT borrows Carbon-ceramic discs and calipers from the McLaren Senna and Formula 1-inspired, integrated caliper cooling ducts combine for superb brake pedal feel and incredible stopping power.
Motorsport-inspired interior design features carbon fiber racing seats, carbon fiber center tunnel, exposed carbon fiber floor and lightweight Alcantara® throughout.
McLaren will build just 765 examples of these new longtail models, and deliveries will start in September; so if you want one you better act fast.
