MTX Microtex ULTIMATE CLEANING CLOTHS products are made from ultra-fine threads called microfibers, a special blend of 80% polyester and 20% nylon that has unparalleled absorbing, cleaning, dusting, buffing, and polishing qualities. Microfibers are subjected to a special process where each strand is split into 16 sections with 16 interval spaces. The resulting triangular sections are polyester wedged into nylon core. Microscopic pockets in the wedge-shaped cross-section trap dirt and dust particles from any surface like magnet.
A microfiber strand is less than 1.0 denier in diameter, making it 100 times finer than human hair, 40 times finer than wool, 30 times finer than cotton, and 10 times finer than silk.
