Check out the 2021 Ford F150 Raptor!
The 2021 Ford F150 Raptor was just introduced and it looks super badass. It looks meaner, tougher and better than the out going F150 Raptor. The 2021 model will be equipped with a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost and is expected to better the 450HP & 510lb-ft of torque from the previous generation, Ford has yet to confirm this so I don't want to state exact numbers yet.
For 2022 the rumors have surfaced that a supercharged V8 from the Shelby GT500 could make its way to a Ford F150 Raptor, which might be called the Raptor R. If these rumors are true, a V8 Raptor with a Shelby engine would be insane, imagine seeing one of those on the streets of Manila.
But for now, those wanting an F150 Raptor will have to settle for a V6 that's paired to a 10-speed SelecShift automatic transmission and that now has a towing capacity of 8,200lbs. In some videos’s the F150 Raptor, kinda sounds like a V8, and that's because of the new exhaust system that features whats Ford is called a “trombone loop” that essentially makes the exhaust an equal length and thus giving it a unique exhaust note.
The 2021 Raptor ditches the leaf springs and receives a new five-link rear suspension with longer trailing arms and 24-inch coil springs, which gives the 2021 Raptor better suspension travel for those planning on hitting rough terrain. The 2021 Raptor also comes with 2 tire size options, you can get a 35” or a 37” mounted on 17” wheels that are available in a few different designs and color options
Inside you get a 12” SYNC 4 infotainment system along with a 12” center gauge cluster and a pair of Recaro seat's upfront.
The F150 Raptor should be available in the US by summer and I'm sure gray market importers will have them in the country by Christmas.
